John Wright is a carpenter turned (professional) forager in the UK. Based in West Dorset (UK, not VT) he now writes for The Guardian on that subject, and in contrast to Euell Gibbons is an enthusiastic home-brewer as well. My bruv' put me onto his Hedgerow book above, but all three were created as part of a handbook series for River Cottage - the farm/foodteaching facility headed by Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall (perhaps best know in the USA for his Fish Fight campaign?).
